Women's Key Items
Tops (woven): Bohemian style ruffled tops (shoulders cut off to recall the 70s style), blouses with sheer and soft fabric, cropped and cropped boyfriend tops, white shirts and newly introduced halters and camis are the key itemss of Spring 2012.
Tops (knit): skin-tight knit tops and turtlenecks (also skintight) to match with palazzo, long wide pants and stove pipes, oversized polo shirts, rollup knits, deconstructed sweaters, two tier and drape knit tops are the key items of SS' 2012.
Tailors: Big key item for Spring 2012 include suits that incorporate the silhouettes from the 70s, boyfriend suits, suits with shorts, and blazers (double-breasted, belted and oversized)
Dresses: maxi dresses (boho, caftan, column), little white dresses, midi-length dresses, shirt dresses
Outerwear: tighter looking classic trench coats (double breasted) that can be matched with belts, desert jackets, bikers, cropped and windbreakers
Jumpsuits: Another big key item for SS' 2012 is the jumpsuit (or rather all-in-ones) - boho style printed jumpsuits (70s!), minimalist and flight jumpsuits that have extended from last and this years' trend, disco jumpsuits (also an item that reminisces the 70s!), playsuits and rompers
Pants: wide long pants, palazzos, stove pipe pants that all reminisces the 70s and continuing skinnys, cigarettes, and slouch pegs
Skirts: Skirts will have become longer (mid to maxi lengths) in Spring 2012 - gypsy, column and peasant style. One key short skirt in trend will be the pleated skirt (more volume this time) and pencil skirts also continues to strive with new elogated style as well as the classic pencil.
Shorts: Some new styles such as Bermuda and Culottes (midi lengths) will be introduced in SS' 2012. Also another key item would be the pin-up style shorts of the 70s. Continuing shorts key items will be the tap shorts and short shorts.
